GENESIS Kids

ALL Kids are a gift and blessing from God. At GENESIS, we see every child through the same lens that Jesus did – a heart to serve and love them. Over the years GENESIS Kids has seen tremendous growth. Certainly in the amount of Kids that comprise GENESIS Kids but even more importantly in the men and women serving within GENESIS Kids. Our leaders and volunteers are committed to ensuring that every child sees, hears, and experiences God’s great love for them. If you have a child between 6-weeks old and 5th grade, GENESIS Kids would love the opportunity to help your child encounter and be shaped by God’s great love.

KIDS Mission and Vision

GENESIS KIDS MISSION

The mission of GENESIS Kids is to help ALL kids walk with God! Life with God is a journey and we are committed to encouraging and equipping ALL kids for the journey God has for them.  We offer FULL GENESIS Kids Programming at all three worship gatherings.

GENESIS KIDS VISION

We believe that as kids are learning how to walk with God, they will have fresh stories of how they see God at work both in their lives and through their lives.  From a young age, we believe God wants the stories coming from these young hearts to be stories of God doing amazing things with them and through them.

Check In and Out

FIRST TIME CHECK-IN

On your first visit, just look for the First Time Travelers desk. You'll be greeted by a GENESIS Kids leader eager to meet your family! There you will learn how GENESIS Kids works. We'll be there every step of the way (right up to your child's room), so feel free to ask questions!

Because we value safety, we will need some information at that time including family member's name, child's name and birthday, email address, phone number, and any special instructions (allergies, etc.).

CHECK-OUT

Upon check-in, you'll receive matching identification stickers. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion and you will need to keep the matching tag. After the service, you'll show security team member and the GENESIS Kids teacher your matching tag in order for your child to be released from his/her room.

Security

SECURITY & SAFETY

Your child’s safety is our first priority. All GENESIS Kids volunteers pass a background check and we have our own security team to ensure your child’s safety. We use a security tag system for child check-in and pick-up, and we use this system for parents/guardians in case we need to reach you during the service.

During your first visit, you'll receive a key tag that is exclusive to your family. The next time you join us, you can use that key tag or your phone number to check in on your own at any available station.

In the event that we need to contact you during the service, we can either text message you or we will share your child's identification code on the screen in the sanctuary. We ask that you immediately find a GENESIS Kids leader who will direct you to your child's room.

KIDS Classrooms

CLASSROOMS

Garage
– The Bible tells us that God knows us before He forms us (Jeremiah 1:5).  The Garage provides a nurturing and safe place for our littlest ones.  Children ages 6 weeks through walking are held, rocked, and played with by our team of loving volunteers.

Station 1 – Jesus loves little children!  That is exactly what we aim to communicate to the children entrusted to us in the GENESIS KIDS Station by the way we care for them, play with them, and teach them truths from God’s Word.  The Station is a fun classroom for walkers to age 2 explore and play with other children their age.

Station 2 – A dynamic classroom where Station kids aged 2 and 3 participate in stations that relate to the lesson. They have fun playing with “toys with a purpose,” where they learn about the days’ lesson through play. They finish with an interactive Bible lesson.

Harbor – Hands-on fun is the perfect way to describe the GENESIS Kids Harbor!  Each week the Harbor engages 4 and 5 year-olds in active, attention-grabbing lessons that help to teach them the truths of the Bible and the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a way they can grasp.  It is a great blend of play and learning in a safe, fun environment.

Hangar – Life with God is a great adventure!  Our goal in the Hangar is to help elementary aged children (1st through 3rd grade) embark on their adventure with God and to equip them for the journey by teaching them truths from God’s Word in ways that are fun, engaging, and relevant.  Our committed Volunteers love Jesus and love helping children grow to love Him too.

Launch – Our class for 4th and 5th graders is loaded with worship, friendly small groups, and a message geared toward the students. It is designed to help kids discover who God is and find confidence in who they are in Him. Meeting with Journey leaders and students to help them develop relationships preparing them for Student Ministries.

Unlimited – The heart of GENESIS Kids Unlimited is to help GENESIS become a place where all children and their families are welcomed and included as full participants in the life of the church. The goal of this ministry is to help children with special needs know, love, and walk with God by providing the extra care and mentoring they need.

Mother's Room — The nursing mom’s room is a place where mothers with newborns can watch the service, while caring for their child. It is stocked with everything you may need to make you and your child comfortable. This room is located just outside the Sanctuary on the right.

Stay Connected

STAY CONNECTED DURING THE WEEK

We encourage parents to keep the conversation going on the car ride home. Ask your child these two questions:

  • Did you have fun?
  • What did you learn?

Our goal is that GENESIS Kids is not an event on Sunday morning. Rather, that it is a springboard for parents to continue the teaching and discipling of their child throughout the week

Want to get more involved in what your child is learning? Follow GENESIS Kids on Facebook.

Sick Policy

"My son has the sniffles, is it ok to come to GENESIS Kids?"

"My daughter was vomiting 2-days ago, is it ok to bring her to GENESIS Kids?"

Please take a moment to read our 'Sick Policy' to better understand how you can help keep GENESIS Kids safe and healthy for all children and volunteers.
