Lori Marcotte
COMMUNITY LIFE DIRECTOR
Growing up on the north shore of Boston, Lori loves the outdoors and cannot imagine living more than 30 minutes from the ocean. An imperfect woman chasing after God’s own heart, her sanity is often saved by an early morning workout, time with God, and a good cup of coffee. She lives in Reading with her husband Jim, where they raised their three children. They have been part of GENESIS for 12 years.
Lori enjoys good conversation, especially over a cup of coffee or while walking her dog; a game of Cribbage (which she often wins); painting (preferably by the ocean); baking scones; and eating black raz with jimmies (translated for non-Bostonians as black raspberry ice cream which chocolate sprinkles). She may not know about the latest Netflix show or movie, but she can explain why a tomato is both a fruit and a vegetable. She loves family vacations on the Cape and spoiling her two grandbabies.
