We live in a world that feels increasingly fractured. Relationships are strained if not broken and hopeless. Truth ‘feels’ as if it’s negotiable. Anger is visibly loud. Fear is widespread. And confusion ‘seems’ to be the new norm.
Regardless of the topic (politics, sexuality, marriage, dating, money, science, church, work, and suffering just to name a few), everyone has an opinion, but very few have peace.
God’s Word never pretends that the world in which we live in isn’t broken… quite the contrary. Scripture makes clear that sin has distorted our loves, our priorities, and our vision of life that is truly life. But thankfully, God’s Word also proclaims GOOD NEWS. The ways of the world might be broken, but THE WAYS OF GOD are not!
From Genesis to Revelation, God’s Word presents a consistent invitation… not merely to believe certain things about God, but to WALK in His ways.
This Sunday, February 1, GENESIS will begin a NEW sermon series entitled…
THE WAY OF GOD — ALL DAY, EVERY DAY.
As we’ll see together, the WAY OF GOD is not arbitrary rules or restrictive commands; the WAY OF GOD leads to life that is truly life ALL DAY, EVERY DAY.
In the coming months, we’ll explore what God’s Word says about how our lives are to be lived ALL DAY, EVERY DAY, and not in a theoretical or abstract way, but in a deeply practical, discipleship-shaped way.
What does faithfulness and obedience to the WAY OF GOD look like in a complex world where cultural pressures often pull us away from God’s design?
What does it look like to follow Jesus in our marriages… or in our friendships and dating relationships?
How does the WAY OF GOD shape how we approach money, power, politics, science, conflict, disagreement, and suffering?
This series is not about winning arguments or retreating from the world, rather it’s about shaping and forming disciples—men and women who trust that the WAY OF GOD is the only way to go ALL DAY, EVERY DAY.
As the Psalmist prayed…
“Show me your ways, LORD, teach me your paths.”
