With one week to go in our 21 Days of Prayer… by the way, welcome to Day #14, I have one question for you.
WHAT WOULD YOU LOVE TO SEE GOD DO?
Something to do with…
Marriage…
Family…
Relationships…
Finances…
Freedom…
Healing…
Career...
Redemption…
I’m not sure how you’d like to see God move in your life right now, but I do know that this is true for all of us…
WE ALL WANT TO SEE GOD MOVE IN OUR LIFE.
Thankfully, the desire we have to see God move in our lives is consistent with God’s desire to move in our lives. And the primary vehicle in which we get to see God move, well, you guessed it… PRAYER!
With one week to go in our 21 Days of Prayer, let me ask you the question I just asked a moment ago…
WHAT WOULD YOU LOVE TO SEE GOD DO?
By no means am I suggesting that God will answer that prayer in the next seven days, but with every passing day in this season of prayer, I am growing more and more convinced, and I hope that you are as well that…
GOD LOVES TO ANSWER PRAYER!
Now, if you’re at all thinking to yourself…
‘Michael, I love that you have the conviction, but man, that just hasn’t been my experience.’
Well, if that was your thought, here’s my encouragement to you…
KEEP PRAYING.
The primary reason that God calls us to…
“Devote ourselves to prayer…” Colossians 4:2 (or)
“Always pray and never give up…” Luke 18:1 (or)
“Never stop praying.” 1 Thessalonians 5:17
The reason that God tells us to keep going in prayer is because prayer keeps us going with God.
Maybe think about it like this. If God were to answer your prayer the moment you prayed it… whatever that prayer was, would you keep praying or would you just come back to God, the next time you felt like you needed something from God?
Hard question I know, but for me, I know 100% that I would only come back to God when I needed something from God. I don’t like admitting that but if I’m being totally honest, that’s exactly what would happen.
You see, the beauty of prayer is that prayer not only keeps us with God (in His presence), but as we begin to see God move in response to our prayers, well, answered prayer has a way of compelling us to keep praying.
With seven days to go… please KEEP PRAYING.
If you’ve grown tired or weary in prayer because you don’t see God doing much of anything right now… please KEEP PRAYING.
If you’ve haven’t yet engaged at all in this season of 21 Days of Prayer, that’s ok, but with seven days to go… please START PRAYING.
I truly believe God wants every single one of us to have a fresh story of how we are seeing Him move in response to our prayers.
Let’s finish well… and if you're wondering what that might look like, well, it might look a lot like us waking up on Thursday, January 22 saying to ourselves…
“I can’t wait to see ALL that God will do next!”
