What a CELEBRATION this past Easter Sunday was! I realize that I use the word ‘EPIC’ a lot, but seriously, what we witnessed on Easter Sunday, well, even EPIC falls woefully short of ALL that God did.
Rather than use words, let’s try numbers for a moment…
36… that’s how many people entered into the waters of baptism to declare, “I believe that Jesus is the resurrection and life!”
1711… between ALL three worship gatherings, that’s how many people gathered to celebrate that KING JESUS IS ALIVE!
283… that’s how many men, women and students SERVED on Easter Sunday. From KIDS, Creative (music, tec., video, photography), Hospitality (greeters, ushers, donut-passer-outer-people, Cafe Baristas, facilities, Safety & Security, etc.), and baptism attendants.
193… that’s how many TEAM members parked at an auxiliary parking lot (415 Wildwood Ave.) and took a shuttle bus to ensure that everyone had a place to park at 11 State St.
1… Woburn policeman provided a police detail to help with traffic flow at the corner of Olympia Ave. and Montvale Ave. - thank you Woburn Police.
28… that’s how many songs the worship TEAM sang on Sunday between all three services.
1152… that’s how many Donuts from DANDEE DONUTS were eaten. And just so you know, the average DANDEE DONUT is ‘roughly’ 362 calories per donut. So collectively, we consumed well over 400,000 calories on Easter Sunday… well done, GENESIS:).
1800… that’s how many cups of coffee were distributed on Easter Sunday. That would be a little over 20lbs of coffee consumed.
By no means do these numbers encapsulate ALL that God did this past Easter Sunday, but I certainly hope that they give you a glimpse that God is at work doing ‘immeasurably more’ in our midst.
GENESIS… what God allowed us to be part of on Easter Sunday is, well, I believe it’s but a foretaste of how God wants to use ALL of us to help a few more people walk with Him.
