{UPDATED MARCH 27, 2020}

Dear GENESIS Family,

We hope that you are doing well and staying healthy amidst all that is happening with COVID-19.  The leadership of GENESIS is committed to doing all we can to not only keep our community safe and healthy, but also help prevent the transmission of COVID-19.

We are continuing to monitor the state’s and CDC’s recommendations on gatherings. As of right now, all GENESIS related gatherings are suspended until further notice. We will keep you posted as soon as we know when anything changes.  This includes...

  • Sunday gatherings
  • Leadership Cohort
  • The Journey

This decision was not made out of any fear or worry. God's Word tells us not to worry or be anxious because of how much God cares for us (Matthew 6:25). It's important that we filter how we think and how we are viewing the current events through the lens of Scripture and our knowledge of who God is.

We believe that God is in control; that He is sovereign and He holds all things together in His hands (Colossians 1:17).

While we believe it is in the best interest of everyone in our community to refrain from meeting in large groups for the time being, the staff remains available to help meet any needs you have!

GENESIS is not offering THREE live-stream worship gatherings:

  • Thursday @ 8PM
  • Sunday @8:30AM & 10AM

You can join the live-stream via our website or on our Facebook page.

We will continue to monitor the situation daily and are in contact with local health officials. You can stay up-to-date on local information at the Boston Health Commission website. Additionally, you can monitor what's happening in Woburn specifically here.

In the midst of much anxiety and uncertainty, the church has an incredible opportunity to be a light in what seems like a very troubling time. Let's be examples of care, hope, patience, and prudence as we interact with those around us.

On behalf of the GENESIS elders and staff - we love you and care about you deeply.  We look forward to connecting with you via our Livestream service this Sunday. Stay tuned to your email, the website, and our social channels for additional communications.
