Anna DeCotis
KIDS COORDINATOR
Born, raised, and educated in Massachusetts, Anna is a proud Boston local and frequenter of her hometown ice cream spot, Richardson’s Ice cream in Middleton. After attending Covenant Christian Academy (CCA) in Peabody, Anna studied biomedical engineering at Tufts University where she gained a passion for teaching science and an obsession with ultimate frisbee. After college, Anna was excited to find a thriving young adult ministry at GENESIS in 2024 and has called GENESIS home ever since. Anna returned to her alma mater post grad and taught Chemistry and Algebra at CCA while also private tutoring, nannying, and coaching softball.
On a typical Sunday at GENESIS, Anna teaches in the K-1st grade classroom, sits with her sister Isabella during service, and tries to talk to as many people as possible in the OPEN SPACE.
Outside of GENESIS, Anna can be found playing ultimate frisbee and soccer, jumping into the nearest body of water, planning her next travel, and working on her current knitting project. If you ever need a connection to adult pickup sports or a homemade art project, Anna is your girl!
Anna is incredibly grateful the provision of God in leading her to GENESIS and feels like the luckiest person in the world to have the best job working in Kids Ministry!
