Imagine you have a friend that is far from God right now and they decide to show up to GENESIS this Sunday. What do you want their experience to be like?
I bet you want people in the parking lot ready to help them find the closest parking spot as they come in.
It’d be great if they were greeted thoughtfully and sincerely so that they think ‘Wow, these people really care that I’m here’ when they walk into the building.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if there was a safe and fun place for their kids to be loved, served, and taken care of? You’d want a place where their kids can hear about God’s great love for them from teachers who genuinely care about them.
Pretend your friend is a coffee drinker – what would it be like if they were served a FREE hot cup of coffee from Starbucks by a friendly, smiling barista?
Your friend has never been to a worship space, so I’m guessing you’d appreciate if someone was at the sanctuary doors to greet them and give them a program that highlights what to expect in the gathering. It gets crowded quickly in the sanctuary, so it would probably also be helpful if someone was there to help usher them to their seat.
How do you want your friend to experience the gathering itself? They should be able to see the words to the songs on the screen, right? And the music should be loud enough, but not too loud - play by skilled musicians who authentically love God with all their heart.

I assume that you’d agree wholeheartedly with all of these desires for their first visit. This is WHY we invite all people to serve on a TEAM at GENESIS. In serving on a TEAM, you have the opportunity to help someone who is far from God experience what God is like by observing what you are like. God is generous, gracious, kind, loving, and sacrificial. You have the opportunity to show these attributes of God to the people you serve with and for on a Sunday morning.
SERVTASTIC is your opportunity to find the TEAM that’s best for you. There are many TEAMs to choose from: parking, greeting, café, kids, students, graphics, video, sound, music, facilities.
