It can consume, overwhelm and even control how we live our lives. We all do it, and it’s safe to say that most of us would like to be free of it – but how? It negatively impacts the physical, emotional, relational and spiritual aspect of our lives, so is it possible to be free of it? If you had a million dollars, what would you do? By a house and some furniture to go in that house? By a K-Car – a nice reliant automobile? Maybe a tree fort with a little fridge with some pre-wrapped sausages? Maybe an exotic pet, something like a llama or an emu? What would you do with a million dollars?

Should I or shouldn’t I? That is the question. They’ve done nothing to deserve it, and I’m pretty sure that I’ll never see it again. I can pretty much guarantee it will go to waste and I know for a fact I won’t even get thanked. So should I or shouldn’t I? What is the answer?

Defend yourself because no one else will. In fact, when it comes to protecting your name and your rights, do whatever you have to to ensure that you will not be misunderstood, misrepresented or worst of all, taken advantage of. And above all else, when people persecute or perform evil acts against you, whatever you do, don’t reach out to them in love because they are clearly not the kind of people worthy of your love. Whether spoken or unspoken, this is the message that many have bought into and consequently, relationships and lives have been shattered as a result.

Who or what has shaped you thus far? As you consider your days ahead, who or what will shape who you’re becoming? When you seek to answer that question, you can either look toward outward influences, or you can look inward to what is at the center of your being. Looking outward is beneficial for sure, but looking inward is transformational.

Have you ever been asked to do something that if you said yes, it would cost you a great deal? I’m not talking about the cost of time, money, or reputation, but the cost of a forever changed life. The ask was so great that the cost equaled the ask. Saying yes would mean that life would no longer be life as you know it.

I just don’t love him anymore-why can’t I just get a divorce and start over again? She’s just not the same person that I married-can’t I just get a divorce? Tough questions, so what are the answers?

Ever seen Rocky V? I’m guessing most of you skipped that one, but I did not. In Rocky’s final fight, lets just say he’s not doing so well and is almost out for the count. When all hope seems lost, Rocky has a flashback of Rocky I through IV where he sees in his mind’s eye the many times he’s been down before. At that moment, he hears his coach Mickey yelling at him to get up one more time because Mickey loves him. The famous Rocky soundtrack begins to play and Rocky rises renewed of mission to defeat his foe.

Some questions for you to consider:
Did God really predestine some people for heaven?
Did God really predestine others for hell?
Am I just a puppet on a string, or do I have free will?
Is everyone on the planet really a sinner?
Is Jesus really the only way that I can get into heaven?
Is it possible for me to lose my salvation?

When you think about God, what comes to mind? Fear? Anger? Hurt? Confusion? Nothing? Joy? Peace? Love? Is what comes to mind when you think about God actually what He is like? What if your thoughts towards Him were off, incomplete or just plain wrong? If how you think about God determines not only how you will interact with Him, but how you live out your existence, I would venture to say that thinking rightly about God is essential to your humanity.
