Missions & Church-Planting

The mission of GENESIS Community Church is a simple one:

“Helping all people walk with God.”

In light of this, and with the clear global purpose God outlined in Scripture, the mission of the global mission team at GENESIS is:

“Helping all peopleS walk with God.”

From His original command to Adam and Eve (Genesis 1:28), to His call to Abraham (Gen. 12:1-3), to His great commission to His church (Matthew 28:19), the Lord’s purpose is that all of the “ethne” (peoples) of the world would worship Him.  Further, the Lord told His disciples in Matthew 24:14, “...this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”

It is the understanding of these truths that inspires the vision of global mission at GENESIS:

Our vision is that the entire GENESIS community would be devoted to the global purpose of God that one from "...every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages (Rev. 7:9)," would stand before the throne of God in worship.  That we devote ourselves in prayer, giving, sending, and going to other nations to the glory of God and to the fulfillment of the Great Commission of the church to make disciples of all nations (‘ethne’) outlined in Matthew 28:19, that our Lord may return in glory and honor in the inheritance of His Kingdom.

  1. Train, equip, and mobilize GENESIS members for cross-cultural ministry.
  2. Support several global church-planting missionaries well.
  3. Partner with other local church efforts for the strategic advancement of the gospel around the world.
  4. Identify an unreached people group that we would devote our God-given resources (prayer, finances, and people) to reaching with the gospel, in the hope of initiating a church-planting movement within.
