This Sunday, October 4th, GENESIS will begin again offering three worship gatherings on Sunday – 9AM, 11AM & 5PM. And as many of you know, hosting a worship gathering takes a lot of people. Between the worship, creative, sound, parking, café, connection, facilities, volunteer care and GENESIS Kids… there are many men and women selflessly serving so that ALL that attend not only get to hear about Jesus, but get to see Jesus through those that are serving.
At GENESIS, we care committed to ‘Helping ALL people walk with God.’ So on Sunday, we see every person that God sends our way as a person we have the opportunity to help walk with God. So those that serve on Sunday have the awesome privilege of helping to make that mission a reality through their service.
Many people believe that in order to truly connect with God in a meaningful way on Sunday, the music and the message must be spot on. Music and message certainly help us walk with God, but if you truly want to encounter and experience the power and presence of God through a Sunday Worship Gathering… begin serving others. It’s in service to others where we get to see God show up most powerfully and profoundly. It’s when we take our eyes of ourselves and put them towards helping someone else walk with God that our walk with God begins to grow in new ways.
If you are not currently serving at a GENESIS Worship Gathering, then I want to invite you to begin doing that today. And please keep in mind, this is not something you have to do, rather, it’s something you get to be part of. Our worship of God is so much more than just a few songs, a message and communion together. Our worship of God is to include how we care for, love, and serve those that God is sending our way.
Are we asking you to serve every Sunday? If you can, then yes. But please remember, the invitation is not so much about how many times you serve in a given month, rather, it’s about us growing together in being servants who serve ALL people.
Facilities, Café, Connections, Creative, Parking, Sound, Volunteer Care, Music and GENESIS Kids – ALL of these Ministries will provide you the AMAZING opportunity to ‘Help someone that God sends our way to walk with Him.’
If you are NOT currently serving at a GENESIS worship gathering, we INVITE you to begin that journey. And here is a promise… you won’t regret it. I promise that as you begin to serve, give and bless the hundreds of men, women, students and children that God is entrusting to our care, you will have FRESH stories of God at work not only in you, but through you!
