Hebrews

by Michael Davis on January 14, 2015

We all have ideas about God – who He is, what He is like and how we might know Him.  These ideas shape not only how we think about God and interact with Him, but how we understand ourselves, those around us and the world we live in.

If we’d be able to understand rightly who we are and make sense of the world we live in, it begins with understanding God – who He is, what He’s done and what He has for us moving forward.  The Good News is that God has made Himself known – thus we can know Him, walk with Him and enjoy friendship with God.

Hebrews is a letter written to encourage, inspire and challenge Christians towards understanding God rightly.  In a culture and context where people were prone towards thinking that traditions, laws, and regulations were what made one right with God, Hebrews points its readers, both in the 1st Century as well as in the 21st Century towards Jesus as the only One who is worthy of all of who we are all of the time.

Join the GENESIS Community this Winter as we explore, investigate and study the Letter of Hebrews... a letter that declares Jesus is Greater!
