I want to live a questionable life.
I want you to live a questionable life.
I want the people around you and me to ask questions about the way we are living our lives. And not so much for the things we refuse to do or participate in. Anyone can make legalistic rules of things they will avoid in this life… I’m definitely not talking about that.
Rather, I’m talking about people seeing how we live, and it creates in them a curiosity to ask us questions like…
“You go to church every week… really?”
“You teach a Sunday school class?”
“You serve in your church’s Cafe… wait, your church has a Cafe?”
“You read your Bible… like, every day?”
“You spend time in prayer, and then you journal how God moves in response to your prayers?”
“You meet with other people during the middle of the week to talk about God and the Bible and to pray together? And you actually tell those people the things you’re struggling with… seriously?”
“You forgive people who wrong you? And you don’t hold a grudge against them? And you don’t try to get back at them?”
“You still work hard for your boss even though they aren’t kind to you?”
“Rather than live with all sorts of anxieties and fears and worries… you have joy even when things are a bit chaotic?”
“Hey, can you tell me more about being a Barista at your church?”
I want to live a questionable life.
I want you to live a questionable life.
In other words…
I want to live like Jesus.
And I want you to live like Jesus.
Jesus’s life led people to ask all sorts of questions and His answers, wow, they were so practical and profound.
Like me, you might think that you would never be able to answer questions like Jesus. Well, here’s the thing… when someone asks you a question like the ones listed above, your answer every time, regardless of the question, should sound something like this…
“Let me tell you about Jesus…”
